Restore Caboose 210
Help us return SMVRR Caboose 210 to its former glory. Caboose 210 operated on the SMVRR from 1962 to 1992 and then was on static display at the Amtrak station in Guadalupe from 1993 until this year. The Amtrak Station and parking area are being completely redone which necessitated the removal of the caboose. Their loss is our gain which gave us the opportunity to bring Caboose 210 back home. Now we need to restore it by repairing the rusty roof to get it water tight again and then restore the interior which is still in very good shape overall. We are looking for both funds to help with the heavy work of repairing the steel roof as well as volunteers to help with all the cleaning, painting, and restoration of the interior.
