An institution in railroading in the Santa Maria Valley is removed after 90-some years of service - the Miller Street crossing. Note that the rails are already removed and the street repaved in these pictures, and the crossing gates are gone as well. The cantilevered signals would be removed the next day, February 6, 2008.
