Friends of the SMVRR volunteer work gang today picked up trash, pulled weeds, and washed the walls of the historic freight depot on this one year anniversary of the purchase of the railroad. Volunteers included Kevin O'Roark, President of the Friends of the SMVRR, Friends member Michael Quinette, Historian Hal Madson, and from the railroad Rob Himoto, President and Dave Jennings, VP, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager.
It was a great sunny day. Friends volunteer forces really spruced up the depot for next week's open house during Grapes and Grains.
The rail yard (pictured at top) is looking quite good!
